The Returning Experts Programme, which is implemented by the International Placement Services (ZAV) in the Centre for international Migration and Development (CIM) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) puts this potential to work for development policy. It supports both junior as well as professionally experienced experts who are interested in returning to their countries and employers in developing and emergent countries who are looking for employees with special qualifications. In this way, we help to make international migration processes sustainable in terms of employment and development policy.

Returning experts who have acquired their professional skills in Germany have an important role to play in their home countries. In particular when they are successfully integrated professionally, they can make an effective contribution to the economic, technological and social development in their countries of origin. Their professional know-how is state-of-the-art. They enjoy international contacts, are at home in several cultures, and speak several languages fluently.

Job description:
- Identify in collaboration with CIM and the German Technical Cooperation in India cooperation partners
- Inform and consult returning experts on job market, recruitment and strategies for job search in India
- establish contacts and create jobs in the indo-german development sector
- cooperate and assist the returning experts in networking with other returning experts and with actors of the development sector
- arrange and conduct information sessions in India and Germany

Profile:

- Academic background in social ciences or economics
- Basic knowledge on education, job market and economical situation in India
- very good communication skills
- consulting experience with partners, organisations and customers preferred
- very good intercultural skills
- ability to work independently AND in teams
- computer literate - Internet and MS Office
- very good german and english language skills - verbal and written
- basic knowledge on development sector preferred
